When a king requested a beggar to teach him how he was able to develop such a high level of motivation in obeying Allah (s.w.t) and overcome his worldly forbidden temptations. The beggar told him to kidnap a fruit seller from the street, put him in a totally separate room of jail, provide him all the forbidden luxuries including the most beautiful prostitute of that time. Tell her if she is able to convince him to have an immoral relationship at night, she would be given a lot of money in the morning. After providing all these facilities, tell the fruit seller that his neck would be cut in the morning irrespective of the choices he makes that night....
When the fruit seller saw that all his request and crying has no effect on the king, he sat at one corner of the room and started praying with tears in his eyes and begging Allah (s.w.t) for forgiveness. All night the woman tried to seduce him but he kept telling her angrily to move away from him.
In the morning the king saw that the fruit seller had not even touched any single forbidden luxury. He set the fruit seller free and realized the secret of that beggar's high level of obedience towards Allah (s.w.t).

You are a drop of which ocean?
When I couldn't find that book from all the book stores in Islamabad, finally I couldn't hide my frustration from the shopkeeper, "All the bookstores have these magazines of women without clothes displayed outside the shop. Is it too difficult to also put few morally good books besides these immoral ones ?"
The reply was enough for me to leave the shop quietly with an embarrassed look on my face.
"We bring on demand. The more is the demand of any particular book, the more we bring copies of it. The book you are asking, we haven't got any demand for that."
The ocean of us (users) make the market of movies, books and audio CDs, not the shopkeepers, yet hypocrites like me get some guts to blame others for the misery of our own mannerism and way of thinking. What we feed in our minds through our eyes and ears determines our loyalties and effect the out put of our thoughts and actions (and attitude towards our duties in life)

A medicine for the most common mental disease
This disease lives in the mind of most people (with varying percentages) in the form of two thoughts:
1. I wish I had not done this & that, but had done this and that in my past life.
2. I have a fear of unknown for the bad events that are waiting for me in my future life.
A scholar gave a good medicine for this disease:
"You cannot change the past, but you can ruin a perfectly good present by worrying about the future. Try your level best to do whatever is within your control and leave the rest to Allah (s.w.t)"

The man who was not sure if Allah liked him
Once a very old man who had spent a pious and clean life was offering his prayers when the devil put a question in his mind,
"All your friends spent their youth experiencing all the forbidden luxuries of life, but you refrained from all those forbidden things, BUT still you have absolutely no idea if you are still liked by Allah and deserve heaven. What if Allah (s.w.t) didn't like all your good deeds, and He like one good deed of your friends, due to which all of them might enter heaven and you might enter hell. You might have wasted all your life because Allah never communicated to you in any way that might indicate His approval and acceptance of your deeds"
This thought made the old man so depressed that before sleeping he only offered the obligatory prayers and didn't do usual "zikr" of Allah"
In his dream he heard a voice from "Ghaib" (unknown) "Why didn't you do zikr tonight ?"
He replied, "I was so confused and got depressed by thinking that I still don't know if Allah likes me or not, may be all my good deeds are not good enough to be accepted in front of Him"
The reply came. "The name of Allah is very pure and honorable and only sincere people with a pure heart deserve to recite His name with their tongue. If Allah had disliked your deeds and were you not sincere enough, He would not have given you the "Tawfeeq" (permission) to recite the name Allah by your tongue. Till the time you are able to praise Allah and recite his attributes with your tongue, be assured that Allah is so happy with you that he allowed you to take His name with your tongue"
When the old man woke up, he became very happy and started doing "Zikr" of Allah with a lot of motivation

True test of a character
At mid night when he felt bored of studying and didn't feel like sleeping, he looked around to find something to entertain himself. He turned on the TV and went through all the channels but could not find anything interesting. His siblings and parents were sleeping so he couldn't pass his time by talking to anyone. In frustration when he returned to the computer room and opened the drawer, he found the CD his class fellow had given him, whose words he could still recall. " Just try it once, you won't regret. You haven't seen something like that before". As he knew his class fellow was not a person with a good reputation so he wanted to reject but as he was in a hurry and could not come up with an excuse, he accepted it.
He soon realized it was a movie, his sixth sense warned him of something wrong. His heart was beating very hard, a voice inside him was warning him to stop but the intense curiosity took hold of him. Suddenly he pressed the escape button but it was too late. His eyes had already caught the glimpse of something. Something evil but exciting. He was siting there thinking if he should continue in order to get rid of boredom and pass the time, or should he just stop. By now he had understood what the CD was all about. He knew Allah had blessed him with a lot of respect due to which he enjoyed the reputation of a pious person among his friends and family. But now it was the real test of his character, as developing a good impression in front of people around him was easy, but he couldn't deceive the angels and jins watching him. He would feel ashamed of taking any such step in front of his parents, relatives and friends but the questions to be answered was,
Was he ashamed of doing such an act when he knew the ultimate lord (who matters the most) is watching him ?
If he took this step now, the devil might dare to go in front of Allah (s.w.t) and ask, "Is he the same pious person You liked a lot ?"

Devil's strategy
When one feels tempted to do a forbidden act but knows he should not do it, the devil persuades him, " You are a human being not a machine. You also need to take some time out, relax and enjoy at the end of a hectic routine. Allah knows this and would forgive you. Have some fun and release the stress"
But when one plans to perform a duty ordered to us by Allah (s.w.t) like namaz and Quran recitation (which "truly" releases stress of mind, body and soul) , he presents a big list of "Things to do" in front of him. The home assignment, the urgent work boss asked you to do, mom gave you a list of the things you have to bring from the store, you haven't paid your bills and the final date is arriving, you had taken an appointment from the doctor, your car AC needs to be repaired........etc. and the list goes on....till one again decides to relax from those "duties" in life and release tension through forbidden acts....

Why are jews so powerful?
Though I understand that this topic is debatable for a lot of cases mentioned, but I still don't think any nation in the world can excel by only praying and not working hard enough, as is the case of a lot of Muslims in the present age. On the other hand some Muslims think only working is sufficient and regular prayers are not necessary, which is also equally wrong. In short, we Muslims in the present age desperately need leaders like we used to have in the past, who were able to maintain a perfect balance between religious duties and worldly responsibilities.

Why are Jews so powerful?
There are only 14 million Jews in the world; seven million in the Americas , five million in Asia, two million in Europe and 100,000 in Africa . For every single Jew in the world there are 100 Muslims. Yet, Jews are more than a hundred times more powerful than all the Muslims put together. Ever wondered why?
Jesus of Nazareth was Jewish. Albert Einstein, the most influential scientist of all time and TIME magazine's 'Person of the Century', was a Jew. Sigmund Freud -- id, ego, superego -- the father of psychoanalysis was a Jew. So were Karl Marx, Paul Samuelson and Milton Friedman.
Here are a few other Jews whose intellectual output has enriched the whole humanity: Benjamin Rubin gave humanity the vaccinating needle. Jonas Salk developed the first polio vaccine. Alert Sabin developed the improved live polio vaccine. Gertrude Elion gave us a leukaemia fighting drug. Baruch Blumberg developed the vaccination for Hepatitis B. Paul Ehrlich discovered a treatment for syphilis (a sexually transmitted disease). Elie Metchnikoff won a Nobel Prize in infectious diseases.
Bernard Katz won a Nobel Prize in neuromuscular transmission. Andrew Schally won a Nobel in endocrinology (disorders of the endocrine system; diabetes, hyperthyroidism). Aaron Beck founded Cognitive Therapy (psychotherapy to treat mental disorders, depression and phobias). Gregory Pincus developed the first oral contraceptive pill. George Wald won a Nobel for furthering our understanding of the human eye. Stanley Cohen won a Nobel in embryology (study of embryos and their development). Willem Kolff came up with the kidney dialysis machine.
Over the past 105 years, 14 million Jews have won 15-dozen Nobel Prizes while only three Nobel Prizes have been won by 1.4 billion Muslims (other than Peace Prizes).
Why are Jews so powerful? Stanley Mezor invented the first micro-processing chip. Leo Szilard developed the first nuclear chain reactor. Peter Schultz, optical fibre cable; Charles Adler, traffic lights; Benno Strauss, Stainless steel; Isador Kisee, sound movies; Emile Berliner, telephone microphone and Charles Ginsburg, videotape recorder.
Famous financiers in the business world who belong to Jewish faith include Ralph Lauren (Polo), Levis Strauss (Levi's Jeans), Howard Schultz (Starbuck's), Sergey Brin (Google), Michael Dell (Dell Computers), Larry Ellison (Oracle), Donna Karan (DKNY), Irv Robbins (Baskins & Robbins) and Bill Rosenberg (Dunkin Donuts).
Richard Levin, President of Yale University, is a Jew. So are Henry Kissinger (American secretary of state), Alan Greenspan (fed chairman under Reagan, Bush, Clinton and Bush), Joseph Lieberman, Madeleine Albright (American secretary of state), Casper Weinberger (American secretary of defence), Maxim Litvinov (USSR foreign Minister), David Marshal (Singapore's first chief minister), Issac Isaacs (governor-general of Australia), Benjamin Disraeli (British statesman and author), Yevgeny Primakov (Russian PM), Barry Goldwater, Jorge Sampaio (president of Portugal), John Deutsch (CIA director), Herb Gray (Canadian deputy PM), Pierre Mendes (French PM), Michael Howard (British home secretary), Bruno Kreisky (chancellor of Austria) and Robert Rubin (American secretary of treasury).
In the media, famous Jews include Wolf Blitzer (CNN), Barbara Walters (ABC News), Eugene Meyer (Washington Post), Henry Grunwald (editor-in-chief Time), Katherine Graham (publisher of The Washington Post), Joseph Lelyyeld (Executive editor, The New York Times), and Max Frankel (New York Times).
Can you name the most beneficent philanthropist in the history of the world? The name is George Soros, a Jew, who has so far donated a colossal $4 billion most of which has gone as aid to scientists and universities around the world. Second to George Soros is Walter Annenberg, another Jew, who has built a hundred libraries by donating an estimated $2 billion.
At the Olympics, Mark Spitz set a record of sorts by wining seven gold medals. Lenny Krayzelburg is a three-time Olympic gold medalist. Spitz, Krayzelburg and Boris Becker are all Jewish.
Did you know that Harrison Ford, George Burns, Tony Curtis, Charles Bronson, Sandra Bullock, Billy Crystal, Woody Allen, Paul Newman, Peter Sellers, Dustin Hoffman, Michael Douglas, Ben Kingsley, Kirk Douglas, Goldie Hawn, Cary Grant, William Shatner, Jerry Lewis and Peter Falk are all Jewish? As a matter of fact, Hollywood itself was founded by a Jew. Among directors and producers, Steven Spielberg, Mel Brooks, Oliver Stone, Aaron Spelling (Beverly Hills 90210), Neil Simon (The Odd Couple), Andrew Vaina (Rambo 1/2/3), Michael Man (Starsky and Hutch), Milos Forman (One flew over the Cuckoo's Nest), Douglas Fairbanks (The thief of Baghdad) and Ivan Reitman (Ghostbusters) are all Jewish.
To be certain, Washington is the capital that matters and in Washington the lobby that matters is The American Israel Public Affairs Committee, or AIPAC. Washington knows that if PM Ehud Olmert were to discover that the earth is flat, AIPAC will make the 109th Congress pass a resolution congratulating Olmert on his discovery.
William James Sidis, with an IQ of 250-300, is the brightest human who ever existed. Guess what faith did he belong to?
So, why are Jews so powerful? Answer: Hard work and Information related to this World.
p.s. I have replaced the word "education" with "Hard work and Information" because I personally think education is more related to moral values which varies from person to person of any religion in this present age. Though I might be wrong.

History of jews
HISTORY OF JEW ............. AS NARRATED BY A CHRISTIAN
I always used to wonder what it was about Jews that made people throughout history despise them. If they were indeed 'God's chosen' I thought, they had to be the unluckiest people in the history of the world.
Why were they persecuted throughout history?
Why had the Nazis herded them into cattle cars and taken them to 'extermination camps' to dispose once and for all of the 'Jewish problem?'
I suddenly recognized that if Hitler had developed a 'Final Solution' to the Jewish question, that there had to have been a 'Jewish Problem.' Could the Jews have in any way behaved in such a manner that would make the countries in which they resided turn against them, or were they just unfortunate, innocent victims?
I set out to find answers for my questions, mainly turning to the Internet, but also reading various books on the subject. What I found became increasingly disturbing to me.
I had not known that throughout history, the Jews had been expelled from 79 countries, some countries more than once.
I had not known that many of the claims they made about the Holocaust that I had believed unquestioningly for so long were in fact fraudulent.
The books I had read and the movies I had seen about the 'Holocaust' and wept over were nothing but thinly veiled attempts to garner unwavering sympathy for the state of Israel and an excuse to extort billions of dollars from Germany and 1.25 billion dollars from the Swiss banks.
I discovered that a book I had read many times as a teenager and cried about, Anne Frank's Diary, had been at least partially written by someone other than Anne Frank.
I learned that the confessions at the Nuremburg Trials and the executions of so many German 'war criminals' were extracted under torture and the defendants were being tried, judged and condemned by their very accusers.
I learned about the 'false flag' operations, especially the Lavon affair and the tragedy of the USS Liberty, an American ship that was attacked by the Israelis during the 1967 war. 34 young American men were killed and many more wounded.
To add insult to injury, the Israelis claimed that it was simply an unfortunate case of mistaken identity, something the survivors of the Liberty have always vehemently denied.. They, however, were threatened with court martial if they were ever to tell their stories.
I learned about the Jonathan Pollard spy case and other incidents of Israeli Jews spying against their supposed 'closest ally.'
I became shocked and horrified as I learned about the treatment of the Palestinian people in the occupied territories at the hands of the Israeli Defense Forces and the Jewish settlers. Israel purports to be the only democracy in the Middle East , but it's only a democracy for Jews. Non-Jews are not considered equal.
I was saddened to see pictures of innocent Palestinian children burned beyond recognition or suffering from serious gunshot wounds after being targeted by the IDF for no other reason than that they are Palestinian.
I found out about the Jewish history of avariciousness, larceny, lying, manipulation and their questionable and usurious business practices..
I learned about their roles in the radical homosexual movement, the radical feminist movement, the pornography industry as well as their over-representation in the abortion industry.
I discovered their role in organized crime, in the slave trade, in the civil rights movement and in Communism, an ideology that is responsible for the deaths of untold millions and the repression of many millions more.
I learned that it was Jewish supremacists behind the war against Christianity and Christmas. It is they who want God out of the Pledge of Allegiance and all symbols of Christianity removed from public life.
They have driven Christianity from the public schools despite Christianity being the majority religion.
They have taken Christmas out of the public school calendar despite the fact that it is a statutory holiday and it is named Christmas.
I read about the anti-Gentilism and hatefulness of the Babylonian Talmud and their utter disrespect for, and hostility towards Jesus Christ, the Virgin Mary and Christianity and Christians in general.
I learned about their 'chutzpah' in claiming that Gentile lives were worth no more than the lives of barnyard animals but that they considered Jewish lives to be akin to God Himself. It's okay to steal from a Gentile or to kill a Gentile, but Jewish lives are sacred.
I learned of their control of the majority of wealth, the media and academia despite them making up less than 2% of the population (even lower in Canada ).
They are behind the ridiculous political correctness movement and hate crime legislation that was drafted so as to silence anyone who might figure out their agenda and attempt to shed light on it.
Men like German Rudolf, David Irving and many more, previously recognized as great historians, were arrested, charged with hate crimes and incarcerated simply for having made academic inquiry into a specific period of history.
Other so called 'revisionists' or 'holocaust deniers' have been intimidated, harassed, assaulted and smeared simply for trying to get at the truth.
I found out that the Jews are responsible for our wide open immigration policies that have created the nightmare we call 'multiculturalism, ' 'diversity,' inclusiveness' and 'pluralism.'
It is mostly they who push for race mixing and miscegenation, knowing full well that it would eventually lead to those of white European descent being minorities in their own countries and the eventual extermination of white European DNA.
It is patently clear that the war in Iraq is due solely to Israel wanting to hobble her enemies by destabilizing their governments in order to achieve hegemony in the Middle East .
It would be unthinkable for Israeli Jews to die for this cause, so they manipulated the US into the war with the help of the Jewish Zionist ' Israel firsters' in the Bush administration in order that the blood of way too many young American men and women is shed instead.
It is they who control the Middle Eastern foreign policy of the most powerful country in the world, the USA . It is they who control congress, the senate and the puppet president, George W. Bush.
They have such control in movies and television that we are now subjected to endless programs and Hollywood movies that mock Christianity, Christian values and degrade the traditional family.
After sober reflection on what I had discovered about Jewish supremacy and Zionism, I had to abandon all my previously held notions as to the history of Jewish persecution.
What I have trouble understanding is why they continue this behavior in whichever society they live, knowing that eventually they will overplay their hand and their perfidy will be exposed yet again. Has history taught them nothing?
As more and more people become aware of what is going on and who is responsible for it, anger is going to rise as it already has in the former Soviet Union and eastern European countries.
They may control television, movies and the print media, but they don't control the internet. At least not yet. Blogs and websites devoted to 'outing' the Jewish supremacists will ultimately be their downfall.
If everyone who sees this information passes it on to at least one other person, the crimes and misdeeds of the Jewish supremacists and Zionists will be exposed. Please, do your part. Pass it on. Our world as we know it is counting on you.
I always used to wonder what it was about Jews that made people throughout history despise them. If they were indeed 'God's chosen' I thought, they had to be the unluckiest people in the history of the world.
Why were they persecuted throughout history?

Two choices
Imran was always in a good mood and always had something positive to say. When asked how he was doing, he would reply, "If I were any better, I would be twins!"
He was a unique manager because he had several waiters who had followed him around from restaurant to restaurant, because he was a natural motivator. If an employee was having a bad day, Imran was there telling the employee how to look on the positive side of the situation.
One day I asked him, "You can't be a positive person all of the time. How do you do it?" Imran replied, "Each morning I say to myself, Imran, you have two choices today. You can choose to be in a good mood or in a bad mood. I choose to be in a good mood. Each time something bad happens, I can choose to be a victim or I can learn from it. I choose to learn from it. Every time someone comes to me complaining, I can choose to accept their complaining or I can point out the positive side of life. I choose the positive side of life."
"It's not that easy," I protested. "Yes it is," Imran said. "Life is all about choices. When you cut away all the junk, every situation is a choice. You choose how you react to situations. You choose how people will affect your mood. The bottom line: It's your choice how you live life." I reflected on what Imran said. Soon thereafter, I left the restaurant industry to start my own business. We lost touch, but often thought about him when I made a choice about life instead of reacting to it.
Several years later, I heard that Imran did something you are never supposed to do in a restaurant business. He left the back door open one morning and was held up at gun point by three armed robbers. While trying to open the safe, his hand, shaking from nervousness, slipped off the combination. The robbers panicked and shot him. Luckily, Imran was found relatively quickly and rushed to the local trauma centre. After 18 hours of surgery and weeks of intensive care, Imran was released from the hospital with fragments of the bullets still in his body.
I saw Imran about six months after the accident. When I asked him how he was, he said, "If I were any better, I'd be twins. Wanna see my scars?" I declined to see his wounds, but did ask him what had gone through his mind as the robbery took place. "The first thing that went through my mind was that I should have locked the back door," Imran replied. "Then, as I lay on the floor, I remembered that I had two choices: I could choose to live, or I could choose to die. I chose to live. "Weren't you scared? Did you lose consciousness?" I asked. Imran continued, "The paramedics were great. They kept telling me I was going to be fine. But when they wheeled me into the emergency room and I saw the expressions on the faces of the doctors and nurses, I got really scared. In their eyes, I read, 'He's a dead man." I knew I needed to take action." "What did you do?" I asked. "Well, a nurse was shouting questions at me," said Imran. "She asked if I was allergic to anything. 'Yes,' I replied. The doctors and nurses stopped working as they waited for my reply. I took a deep breath and yelled, 'Bullets!' Over their laughter, I told them, "I am choosing to live. Operate on me as if I am alive, not dead." Imran lived thanks to the blessings of Allah, the skill of his doctors, but also because of his amazing attitude. I learned from him that every day we have the choice to live fully.
Attitude, after all, is everything.

It belongs to HIM
Muhammad bin Ka‘b relates that there was a great ‘alim (learned person) and ‘abid (worshipper) in the Banu Israil (Children of Israil). He loved his wife very much. Co-incidentally, she passed away. This person was so grieved by this that he locked his door and abstained from meeting and conversing with people. A woman from the Banu Israil heard about this so she went to him. She informed those who were guarding the entrance to his house that she wants to ask him a mas'ala (question) and that it can only be asked directly to him. Saying this, she sat down stubbornly by the door. The person was informed of this and eventually permitted her to enter.
She said: "I want to ask you a mas'ala."
He replied: "Go ahead."
She said: "I have a neighbor from whom I borrowed some jewellery. I am wearing it for quite some time now. Thereafter she sent a person asking for her jewellery. The question I want to ask you is that do I have to give it back to her?"
The ‘âlim replied: "Yes, you have to give it back to her." The woman replied: "That jewellery was with me for a very long time. How can I give it?"
The ‘âlim replied: "In such a case, you should give it even more happily because it was out of her kindness that she allowed you to use it for such a long time." When he said this, the woman replied:
"May Allah have mercy on you? Why, then, are you so sad? Allah had loaned you something and when He wished, He took it back. (Because) it belongs to Him."
"When in your life an emotional injury takes place, (such as losing someone close to heart...) the body begins a process as natural as the healing of a physical wound. Let the process happen. Trust that nature will do the healing. Know that the pain will pass, and, when it passes, you will be stronger, happier, more sensitive and aware."
When the heart weeps for what it has lost, the soul smiles for what it has found

Stay sharp
Once upon a time a very strong woodcutter asked for a job in a timber merchant, and he got it. The pay was really good and so were the work conditions. For that reason, the woodcutter was determined to do his best.
His boss gave him an axe and showed him the area where he was supposed to work. The first day, the woodcutter brought 18 trees.
"Congratulations," the boss said. "Go on that way!" Very motivated for the boss' words, the woodcutter try harder the next day,but he only could bring 15 trees. The third day he try even harder, but he only could bring 10 trees. Day after day he was bringing less and less trees.
"I must be losing my strength", the woodcutter thought. He went to the boss and apologized, saying that he could not understand what was going on.
"When was the last time you sharpened your axe?" the boss asked. "Sharpen? I had no time to sharpen my axe. I have been very busy trying to cut trees."
Our lives are like that. We sometimes get so busy that we don't take time to sharpen the axe." In today's world, it seems that everyone is busier than ever, but less happy than ever. Why is that? Could it be that we have forgotten how to stay sharp?
There's nothing wrong with activity and hard work. But God doesn't want us to get so busy that we neglect the truly important things in life, like taking time to pray, to read. We all need time to relax, to think and meditate, to learn and grow.
If we don't take time to sharpen the axe, we will become dull and lose our effectiveness. So start today. Think about the ways by which you could do your job more effectively and add a lot of value to it.

Planting a tree
An old man aged over 80 years old. He was planting a durian tree when he was observed by a neighbor. (A durian is a thorny fruit with a very pungent smell. It is known as the King of Fruits and is very popular in South East Asia)
The neighbor asked the old man “Do you expect to eat durian from that tree?” The durian tree will take about 8 to 10 years to bear fruit.
The old man rested smilingly on his spade. He said “No, at my age I know I won’t. All my life I have been enjoying durians but never from a tree I have planted before. I wouldn’t have had durians if other men have not done have not done what I am doing now. I am just trying to pay the other men who planted durians for me.” No wonder he is so happy.
We should be GIVERS first and GETTERS second in everything we do. We will not only get what we want but will actually be really happy in the end. Because we need to sow first before we can reap.

Before its too late...
A man stopped at a flower shop to order some flowers to be wired to his mother who lived two hundred miles away. As he got out of his car he noticed a little boy sitting on the curb sobbing.
He asked the boy what was wrong and the boy replied, "I wanted to buy a red rose for my mother. But I only have seventy-five cents, and a rose costs two dollars."
The man smiled and said, "Come on in with me. I'll buy you a rose."He bought the little boy his rose and ordered his own mother's flowers. As they were leaving he offered the little boy a ride home. The boy said, "Yes, please! You can take me to my mother." He directed the man to a cemetery, where he placed the rose on a freshly dug grave.
The man returned to the flower shop, canceled the wire order, picked up a bouquet and drove the two hundred miles to his mother's house.
If our parents are alive, let us give them the gift of our affection, if they are waiting for us in the heaven (insha'Allah), let us send them the gift of our sincere prayers (which they need)

Milk
Have you heard of the story - spilt milk? Well, we all know there is no use crying over spilt milk. But this story is different. I would hope all parents would respond in this manner.
I recently heard a story about a famous research scientist who had made several very important medical breakthroughs. He was being interviewed by a newspaper reporter who asked him why he thought he was able to be so much more creative than the average person. What set him so far apart from others?
He responded that, in his opinion, it all came from an experience with his mother that occurred when he was about two years old. He had been trying to remove a bottle of milk from the refrigerator when he lost his grip on the slippery bottle and it fell, spilling its contents all over the kitchen floor—a veritable sea of milk!
When his mother came into the kitchen, instead of yelling at him, giving him a lecture, or punishing him, she said, “Robert, what a great and wonderful mess you have made! I have rarely seen such a huge puddle of milk. Well, the damage has already been done. Would you like to get down and play in the milk for a few minutes before we clean it up?”
Indeed, he did. After a few minutes, his mother said, “You know, Robert, whenever you make a mess like this, eventually you have to clean it up and restore everything to its proper order. So, how would you like to do that? We could use a sponge, a towel, or a mop. Which do you prefer?” He chose the sponge and together they cleaned up the spilled milk.
His mother then said, “You know, what we have here is a failed experiment in how to effectively carry a big milk bottle with two tiny hands. Let’s go out in the back yard and fill the bottle with water and see if you can discover a way to carry it without dropping it.” The little boy learned that if he grasped the bottle at the top near the lip with both hands, he could carry it without dropping it. What a wonderful lesson!
This renowned scientist then remarked that it was at that moment that he knew he didn’t need to be afraid to make mistakes.
Instead, he learned that mistakes were just opportunities for learning something new, which is, after all, what scientific experiments are all about. Even if the experiment “doesn’t work,” we usually learn something valuable from it.

Parents
An old man was sitting in the courtyard of his house along with his son who had received a high education. Suddenly a crow perched on a wall of the house. The father asked the son: What is this? The son replied: It is a crow. After a little while the father again asked the son: What is this? The son said: It is a crow.
After a few minutes the father asked his son the third time: What is this? The son said: Father, I have just now told you that this is a crow. After a little while the old father again asked his son the fourth time: what is this? By this time some expression of irritation was felt in the son's tone when he rebuffed his father: Father! It is a crow, a crow. A little after the father again asked his son: What is this? This time the son replied to his father with a vein of temper. Father: You are always repeating the same question, although I have told you so many times that it is a crow. Are you not able to understand this?
The father went to his room and came back with an old diary. Opening a page he asked his son to read what was written. What the son read were the following words written in the diary:
' Today my little son was sitting with me in the courtyard, when a crow came there. My son asked me twenty-five times what it was and I told him twenty-five times that it was a crow and I did not at all feel irritated. I rather felt affection for my innocent child. '
The father then explained to his son the difference between a father's and a son's attitude. While you were a little child you asked me this question twenty-five times and I felt no irritation in replying to the question twenty-five times and when today I asked you the same question only five times, you felt irritated, annoyed and impatient with me.

Never challenge your teacher
There was once a man who was a champion wrestler. He had mastered 360 holds and tricks, and used a different one every day of the year. It so happened that he was fond of one of his students, and taught him all his tricks, except one. He kept on postponing the day when he would teach him the last trick.
The boy grew in strength and skill, and no one among his contemporaries was able to challenge him. One day, he boasted in front of the king: "My teacher is unchallenged only because he is older than me and because I respect him as my teacher. Otherwise my strength is not less than his and my skill is quite equal to his."
The King did not appreciate this boasting and ordered a match to take place. They cleared the broad wrestling ground and gathered ministers, courtiers and sportsmen to watch.
The boy charged out into the ring like a mad elephant. His master knew that his pupil was not stronger than him, so he used the 360th hold the he had never taught him. The boy did not know how to counter it. He was helpless. His master raised him with both hands above his head and smashed him to the ground. The crowd cheered wildly.
The King congratulated the champion and ordered a robe of honor to be given to him. He reproached the boy, saying: "You were ill-bred enough to dare to challenge your teacher and how you see how hollow your boast was!"
The boy answered: "O lord of the word! He did not overpower me with his strength but rather because of one trick which he never accepted to teach me. Today this one trick gave him the victory."
The King retorted: "It was just for such a day that he had kept his trick! Have you not heard what the wise say? "Never give a friend such power over you that if one day he tries to be your enemy, he can defeat you."
The teacher betrayed by his pupil said: "There is no such thing as loyalty in this world, or at least no one today knows the meaning of loyalty. Whoever learned a trick from me, finally tried to do me down."

Arrow in our daily lives
A scholar used to teach his students in a certain city. Once one of his students went to another city where he used very bad words for his teacher. A man who knew the scholar heard him. He happened to visit that city after few weeks. He went to meet that scholar. During the meeting the man mentioned that particular student who had used bad words for the scholar.
The scholar replied, " My student threw an arrow towards me which didn't reach me. You picked up that arrow and made sure it is inserted in my heart."
How many times in our daily life are we responsible for picking up arrows and inserting them in the person's heart for whom it was thrown ?

WHICH CANDIDATES WOULD BE YOUR CHOICE?
Don't make unnecessary judgement!
It is time to elect the world leader, and your vote counts. Here are the facts about the three leading candidates:
CANDIDATE A:
He associate with crooked politicians, and consults with astrologist. He's had two mistresses. He also chain smokes and drinks 8 to 10 martins a day.
CANDIDATE B:
He was kicked out of office twice, sleeps until noon, used opium in college and drinks a quart of whisky every evening.
CANDIDATE C:
He is a decorated war hero. He's a vegetarian, doesn't smoke, drinks an occasional beer and hasn't any extramarital affairs.
Which of these candidates would be your choice?
Avoid making unnecessary judgements.
Judge only when it is our duty to do so.
We may think we have all the facts.
In reality, the consequences can be disastrous.
How often are we guilty of being judgemental?
Candidate A is Franklin D.Roosevelt
Candidate B is Winston Churchill
Candidate C is Adolph Hitler

Silent thinking and observing
Once upon a time, there lived in Basra an old man whose only occupation was caring for and loving his only son who was a handsome young man. The old man invested all his money on his son's education. The young man went away for a few years and acquired an education at a well known university under the great scholars of that age. The day had arrived for the son to return from his studies and the old man waited at the door for his son. When the son came and met his father, the old man looked into his eyes and felt great disappointment. "What have you learnt my son?" he asked, "I have learnt everything there was to be learnt, father", he said. "But have you learnt what cannot be taught?" asked the father. "Go, my son and learn what cannot be taught", said the old man. The young man went back to his master and asked him to teach him what cannot be taught. "Go away to the mountains with these four hundred sheep and come back when they are one thousand", said the master. The young man went to the mountains and became a shepherd. There for the first time he encountered a silence. He had no one to talk to. The sheep did not understand his language. In his desperation, he would talk to them but they would look back at him as if to say he was stupid. Slowly but surely he began to forget all his worldly knowledge, his ego, his pride and he became quiet like the sheep and great wisdom and humility came to him. At the end of two years when the number of sheep had grown to one thousand, he returned to his master and fell on his feet. "Now you have learnt what cannot be taught," said the master. NB. It is interesting to note that the Nabis of Allah Taala (Alayhimus salaam) at some time in their lives, generally before Nubuwwat, tended to sheep, and other such animals.
It is better to give oneself sometime alone from a busy routine, as it helps in understanding ourself, to reflect on our past deeds and communicate with our Lord. Wisdom comes with silent thinking and observing

A Scholar in China
A Muslim scholar (sheikh) was on a visit to China to give a series of lectures to the local Muslim community. One day, he was scheduled to give a lecture at a local hall and was about to take a taxi along with his companions to that location.
They got into the taxi and the Sheikh asked about the length of time it would take to get to the lecture hall. The taxi driver, through the interpreter, answered "Two hours."
The Sheikh immediately turned to his companions and said: "well, we can't sit in this taxi with the driver for two hours and not tell him about our religion. If we did that then we would be no different than any other non-Muslim or kaffir who uses this taxi. We are the people that Allah (SWT) chose to carry His message and honoured us to be Muslims. It is our duty to tell this person about Islam."
However, the driver was a native Chinese and didn't have a common language with the Sheikh. They had to communicate through an interpreter.
Sheikh to interpreter: "Ask the man if he believes in any religion?"
Driver: "No, I don't believe in religion. I just get up in the morning, go to work and earn money. At the end of the day, I collect my money, go buy some food and drink for my family. What do I need religion for?"
Sheikh: "Ask this man if he has ever heard anything about Islam."
Driver:Not much. I've seen................
Driver: "Not much. I've seen a tape once and showed Muslims as violent people. I don't know much else."
Sheikh: "Ask him about computers. What does he think of computer?"
Driver: "I think the computer is an excellent invention. It is very useful and very sophisticated."
Sheikh: "Does he think that the computer could have invented itself or does he think that a human being invented it?"
Driver: "A human invented it, of course. It is not capable of inventing itself."
Sheikh: "Which one is more complicated the computer or the human being?"
Driver: "The human being is more complicated, of course."
Sheikh: "O.K., if the computer must have been invented by a human being, then it follows that a human being (which is more complicated) must also have a creator."
Driver: "O.K."
Sheikh: "In Islam, we believe that Allah is the creator of human beings and all other beings. Fine, now let's move on. Assume that you have never seen a computer before and never heard of it. If I brought a computer to you and gave it to you. Would you know what to do with it? Would you be able to use to its full potential?"
Driver: "No, I wouldn't."
Sheikh: "Now, if I gave you a catalogue for the computer, then you will be able to better use it? Correct?"
Driver: "Correct!"
Sheikh: "In Islam, we view Quran as the catalogue used by human beings to manage their lives. Without this catalogue, they will ruin themselves! Now, if this inventor of the computer assembled the machine and printed the catalogue, what would be the next step? He would need to train some engineers and others on how to spread the message about this machine. These people would, in turn, train others and others until everyone knows about the machine. In the example of Allah and Quran, the prophets of Allah play the role of the engineers. They learn the message and teach it to others so that the message will spread. Prophet Muhammad (saw) is the final messanger of Allah and he was ordered to take the message to all human beings."
By this time, the trip was coming to an end and they almost reached the lecture hall. But the Sheikh can see that there were tears coming out of the driver's eyes. The words of the Sheikh was having a significant effect on this driver.
Driver: "These ideas are very interesting to me. Do you mind spending 15 more minutes with me to tell me about this religion?"
The Sheikh agreed to spend those few minutes with this person and did. The man asked many questions and seemed genuine in his desire to learn more about this religion. At the end of these few minutes, the driver said: "I want to join this religion of yours. How do I do that?"
He was told that all he needs to do is say: "I bear witness that there is no God but Allah and I bear witness that Muhammad (saw) is his servant and messenger."

My hands...
A squash racket in my hands is worth about $5.
A squash racket in Jhangir Khan's hands is worth about $1 million.
It depends whose hands it's in.
A cricket ball in my hands is worth about $6.
A cricket ball in Imran Khan's hands is worth about $10 million.
It depends whose hands it's in.
A rod in my hands will keep away some wild animals. A rod in Hazrat Musa's (a.s) hands will part the mighty sea.
It depends whose hands it's in.
Two fish and 5 loaves of bread in my hands is a couple of fish sandwiches.
Two fish and 5 loaves in Allah's hands will feed Infinite living things.
It depends whose hands it's in.
As you see now it depends whose hands it's in.
So put your concerns, your worries, your fears your hopes, your dreams, your families and your relationships in Allah's hands because it depends whose hands it's in.

KFC
When Colonel Harland Sanders retired at the age of 65, he had little to show for himself, except an old Caddie roadster, a $105 monthly pension check, and a recipe for chicken. Knowing he couldn't live on his pension, he took his chicken recipe in hand, got behind the wheel of his van, and set out to make his fortune. His first plan was to sell his chicken recipe to restaurant owners, who would in turn give him a residual for every piece of chicken they sold--5 cents per chicken. The first restaurateur he called on turned him down. So did the second. So did the third. In fact, the first 1008 sales calls Colonel Sanders made ended in rejection. Still, he continued to call on owners as he traveled across the USA, sleeping in his car to save money. Prospect number 1009 gave him his first "yes."
After two years of making daily sales he had signed up a total of five restaurants. Still the Colonel pressed on, knowing that he had a great chicken recipe and that someday the idea would catch on.
Of course, you know how the story ends. The idea DID catch on. By 1963 the Colonel had 600 restaurants across the country selling his secret recipe of Kentucky Fried Chicken (with 11 herbs and spices).
In 1964 he was bought out by future Kentucky governor John Brown. Even though the sale made him a multi-millionaire, he continued to represent and promote KFC until his death in 1990.
Colonel Sanders' story teaches an important lesson: its never too late to decide to never give up. Earlier in his life the Colonel was involved in other business ventures--but they weren't successful. He had a gas station in the 30's, a restaurant in the 40's, and he gave up on both of them. At the age of 65, however, Harland Sanders decided his chicken idea was the right idea, and he refused to give up, even in spite of repeated rejection

Eagle
Did you know that an eagle knows when a storm is approaching long before it breaks? The eagle will fly to some high spot and wait for the winds to come. When the storm hits, it sets its wings so that the wind will pick it up and lift it above the storm. While the storm rages below, the eagle is soaring above it.
We should be GIVERS first
We should be GIVERS first and GETTERS second in everything we do. We will not only get what we want but will actually be really happy in the end. Because we need to sow first before we can reap.
Until we know the truth
The train has started moving. It is packed with people of all ages, mostly with the working men and women and young college guys and gals. Near the window, seated a old man with his 30 year old son. As the train moves by, the son is overwhelmed with joy as he was thrilled with the scenery outside..
" See dad, the scenery of green trees moving away is very beautiful"
This behavior from a thirty year old son made the other people feel strange about him. Every one started murmuring something or other about this son."This guy seems to be a crack.." newly married Anup whispered to his wife.
Suddenly it started raining... Rain drops fell on the travelers through the opened window. The Thirty year old son , filled with joy " see dad, how beautiful the rain is .."
Anup's wife got irritated with the rain drops spoiling her new suit.
Anup ," cant you see its raining, you old man, if your son is not feeling well get him soon to a mental asylum..and don't disturb public henceforth"
The old man hesitated first and then in a low tone replied " we are on the way back from hospital, my son got discharged today morning , he was a blind by birth,
last week only he got his vision, these rain and nature are new to his eyes.. Please forgive us for the inconvenience caused..."
The things we see may be right from our perspective until we know the truth. But when we know the truth our reaction to that will hurt even us. So try to understand the problem better before taking a harsh action.

Two techniques to address harsh people
Technique 1: To address with mild words of gentleness
He, the Al Mighty said,
And the slaves of the Most Beneficent (Allah) are those who walk on the earth in humility and sedateness, and when the foolish address them (with bad words) they reply back with mild words of gentleness.
( سورة الفرقان , Al-Furqan, 25: 63)
Technique 2: To turn away from them and seek His Mercy
And if you turn away from them to seek mercy from your Lord, which you hope for, speak to them a gentle word (Surah Al-Israa 17 : 28)
Are we the slaves of the Most Beneficent who walked on earth with humility? Have we addressed the harsh people around us with mild words of gentleness?
Think about it.
